Lower papyrus (B) (P.Lond. V 1833 descr., TM 33196): Fragment of a lease of land, with provisions as to the rent and payments to be made by the landlord.

Two papyrus sheets that do not belong together, housed in the same glass frame.
Upper papyrus (A): Fragment of a medium-brown papyrus sheet, broken off at the bottom and right, and lacking the upper left corner; written on both sides along the fibres. The front bears portions of 12 lines; the upper margin is generous. On the back, there is the beginning of one line.
Lower papyrus (B): Fragment of a medium-brown papyrus sheet, broken off at the bottom and top, complete on the sides; written on one side along the fibres. 9 lines survive on the front, the first and last are fragmentary. Side margins are minimal. The back is blank.

Dimensions: A: 137 x 134 mm; B: 80 x 143 mm; housed in a glass frame measuring 280 x 185 mm.
Script: A: Fair-sized and neat cursive hand, with a slight slant to the right in places. B: Upright cursive hand, written with a thin pen.

Provenance: Arsinoite nome (?), Egypt. Both papyri were purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 1545-1753 from the Reverend Chauncey Murch (b. 1856, d. 1907) on 8 December 1906.
