Treatise on pharmacology by Najīb al-Dīn Abū Ḥāmid Muḥammad ibn ‘Alī ibn ‘Umar al-Samarqandī (نجيب الدين أبو حامد محمد بن علي بن عمر السمرقندي, d. 1222). The copy was made during Rabīʿ I 984 (May-June 1576) (see colophon, f. 68r, lines 9-10, transcribed below).
The treatise comprises nineteen chapters (abwāb); a table of contents is found on f. 40v.

لإمام البارع الورع نجيب الملة والدين علامة الدهر
أفضل الزمان محمد بن علي بن عمر
السمرقندي منع الله الدين والإسلام بزمانه زمانًا مليّا ورفع العلم والفضل بمكانه مكانًا
صليّا أن الواجب على كل ذي لبٍ أن يتقرب إلى الله ...

يضاف إليه البواقي مدقوقة أيضًا مجرشة ويخلط بعضها ببعض خلطًا جيدًا ويطحن برحًا
