Treatise on dietetics for patients suffering from a range of ailments, given as headings in the text, by Najīb al-Dīn Abū Ḥāmid Muḥammad ibn ‘Alī ibn ‘Umar al-Samarqandī (نجيب الدين أبو حامد محمد بن علي بن عمر السمرقندي, d. 1222). The copy was made in Rabīʿ II 984/June-July 1576 (see colophon, f. 98v, lines 18-20, transcribed below).
The end of the treatise is followed by an excerpt by Najm al-Dīn Maḥmūd ibn Ḍiyāʾ al-Dīn Ilyās al-Shīrāzī (نجم الدين محمود ابن ضياء الدين إلياس الشيرازى, d. 1330) on conception, presumably from his medical compendium Kitāb al-Ḥāwi fī ‘ilm al-tadāwī (كتاب الحاوي في علم التداوي, f. 99r).

الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلوة والسلام على خير البرية محمد وآله الطيبين الطاهرين اعلم
أن أحد العلوم التي ينتفع بها الناس هو علم الطب وهو من جملته العلوم السياسية
التي هو أشرف العلوم الإضطرارية المحتاج إليها في بقاء نوع الإنسان...
