Tax Receipt (TM 765550), Letter, and Nomination to Public Service (TM 11614)

A (TM 765550): Fragment of a receipt recording five money payments made by the heirs of a veteran to the collectors of money taxes of Bakchias over three or four months, possibly for poll-tax (syntaximon). Dated between September and November 237. Papyrus 1573(B) preserves the right-hand half of the document.
B: Letter with instructions on business matters; dated Mesore 9. Unpublished.
C (P.Leit. 3, SB VIII 10194, TM 11614): Nomination addressed to Antonius Sarapammon, strategus of the Arsinoite nome, from the comarchs of the village of Sebennytos in the Arsinoite nome, who have nominated a man whose name is lost as a collector of taxes in kind. Dated around 313.

Three papyrus sheets that do not belong together, mounted on cardboard in the same glass frame.
A: Fragment of a papyrus sheet, the right-hand portion of which is Papyrus 1573(B); written on one side along the fibres and preserving the beginnings of 12 lines; left and upper margins are extant. The back is blank.
B: Long and narrow papyrus sheet, damaged at the top left and bottom right; written on one side along the fibres. The front bears 17 lines; margins are extant, with ample blank space at the bottom. The back is blank.
C: Medium-brown papyrus fragment, with some surface damage; broken off at the bottom and to the right; written on one side along the fibres. The front contains the beginnings of 14 lines; of the last, only a few traces remain. Left margin and part of the upper margin survive. The back is blank.
