Treatise, also known under the title Hidāyat al-ʿāmil ilá al-rubʿ al-kāmil (هداية العامل إلى الربع الكامل) on the workings of the quadrant, consisting of an introduction and fifteen chapters (bābs).
The copy was completed on 24 Jumādá I 1070/6 February 1660 (see colophon, f. 138v, lines 14-16, transcribed below) by the scribe ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan ibn Zayn al-Dīn al-ʿĀmilī (علي بن محمد بن الحسن بن زين الدين العاملي). Next to the colophon a reading certificate of Zayn al-Dīn ibn ʿAlī ibn Aḥmad (زين الدين بن علي بن أحمد) dated mid-Shaʿbān 960/late July 1553 was copied from the source manuscript (صورة خط جدي, f. 147r, fore edge margin).
