A treatise in four chapters (fuṣūl) on the use and construction of the astrolabe, by Kūshyār ibn Labbān al-Jīlī (كوشيار بن لبان بن باشهري بن الجيلي, fl. 961).
The text contains three diagrams (ff. 34r, 23v and 24v) and three tables:
- Solar declination to north and south (جدول الدرجات في الشمال والجنوب, f. 17r);
- Table of altitudes [measured in] digits and feet [of shadow] (جدول إرتفاع الأصابع والأقدام, f. 23r);
- Geographical coordinates with longitude measured from the Canary Islands and latitude from the Equator (جدول طول البلدان من جزائر الخالدات والعرض من خط الإستواء, ff. 38v-39v).
