A: Dark-brown papyrus fragment with detached scrap, with surface damage; written on one side along the fibres. The back is blank.
B: Dark-brown papyrus fragment, written on both sides; the front bears a few letters written along the fibres; the back contains parts of one column written across the fibres. Another fragment is Papyrus 2502(B).
C: Medium-brown papyrus strip; written on one side across the fibres, being blank on the front. The writing is effaced.
D: Small papyrus fragment, broken off on all sides; the front bears two words running along the fibres; the back is blank except for a small trace of ink.
E: Dark-brown papyrus fragment, blank on either side.
F: Medium-brown papyrus fragment, written on one side along the fibres. The text on the front is effaced, the back is blank.
G: Lower left portion of a medium-brown papyrus, written on one side across the fibres; the front bears the beginnings of 6 lines; lower and left margins survive. The back is blank.

Script: A: Sloping cursive hand; B: Rapid and untidy cursive hand with a slight slant to the right; C: Rapid cursive hand. D: Rather large, rapid cursive hand. E-F: Irregular, untidy cursive hand. G: Proficient, large sloping cursive hand. H: Overall neat cursive hand of medium size. I-J: Neat, sloping cursive hand.

Provenance: Philadelpheia, meris of Herakleides, Arsinoite nome, Egypt. Purchased as part of a lot comprising Papyri 2486-2542 from Maurice Nahman (b. 1868, d. 1948) in September 1922. Part of a joint purchase with the University of Michigan and Cornell University.
