Teh Cap Lampu Sepeda
The Tea with the Bicycle Lamp Seal; Delicious and Fragrant
- Scope & Content:
- Only the cover remains of this notebook. Because it does not display a title, it is impossible to guess the content of the book itself, other than that it probably related to a school or college of some sorts. The branding by Go Thian Kiang's tea factory is noteworthy; by printing the image of his tea on notebooks he gained wide name recognition in Central Java in the early half of the twentieth century. His cunning marketing also shows from the bicycle lamp which he printed on his packages to get attention in a time that this western vehicle was getting increasingly popular among the Javanese.
