Records information on the chaplaincies founded in favor of the Instituto de Caridad Hermandad de Dolores [Institute of Charity "Fraternity of Sorrows"]. Specifically, the documents address the chaplaincy of 4,000 pesos founded by testamentary clause in 1830 by Mrs. Ignacia Valdés, which included an anniversary of masses for the benefit of her soul, that of her deceased husband and those of her parents, grandparents, siblings, servants "and other persons of obligation." Originally, Manuela Valdés y Goycolea was designated as the patron of this chaplaincy; then her niece, Juana Ugarte Valdés; later the brother of the last one, Francisco Ugarte Valdés and, once he died, the Hermandad de Dolores [Fraternity of Sorrows], around 1923.
