The volume contains the documents related to the judicial process between the Hermandad de Dolores [Fraternity of Sorrows] and the Universidad Católica [Catholic University], on the one hand, and the heiresses of Leopoldo Valenzuela, the Ladies Guillermina and Rebeca Valenzuela, on the other. The aforementioned consigned in the fifth clause of his will the delivery of a legacy to the aforecited institutions, leaving his sisters as lifetime beneficiaries of the testated values. From then on, the documentation held in the volume constitutes a follow-up of the case, gathering notarial and financial documents as background. Among these are: 1) Custody of Securities in Banco de Chile [Chile Bank], Testimony of the Deed. Delivery of legacy and deposit in custody; 2) Answer to the claim presented in the trial brought by Mrs. Rebeca and Mrs. Guillermina Valenzuela Bernales against the Universidad Católica de Chile [Catholic University] and the Instituto de Caridad Evangélica [Institute of Evangelical Charity]; 3) Inventory of the assets left after the death of Leopoldo Valenzuela.
El volumen contiene los documentos relativos al proceso judicial sostenido entre la Hermandad de Dolores y la Universidad Católica, por una parte, y las herederas de Leopoldo Valenzuela: las Señoras Guillermina y Rebeca Valenzuela, por otra. El antes referido consignó en la quinta cláusula de su testamento la entrega de un legado a las instituciones señaladas, dejando como usufructuarias vitalicias de los valores testados a sus hermanas. A partir de entonces, la documentación presente en el volumen constituye un seguimiento del caso, reuniendo documentos notariales y financieros a modo de antecedentes. Entre estos se encuentran: 1) Custodia de Valores en el Banco de Chile, Testimonio de la Escritura. Entrega de legado y depósito en custodia; 2) Contestación de la demanda presentada en el juicio deducido por Doña Rebeca y Doña Guillermina Valenzuela Bernales contra la Universidad Católica de Chile y el Instituto de Caridad Evangélica; 3) Inventario de los bienes quedados tras el fallecimiento de Leopoldo Valenzuela.
