Dissertation that endorsed the legal personality of the Hermandad de Dolores [Fraternity of Sorrows], written by Clemente Pérez Valdés on May 10, 1942. The author based his arguments based on the origins of the institution on Juan Fernández Island, its development after the Independence of Chile, its active participation in the Cabildo and its link with the Archbishopric of Santiago. In this way, he concluded that the institution could easily receive the legacies and inheritance assigned to it by Victoria Vicuña Hurtado in March of the same year, since it was not affected by the incapacity of article 963 of the Civil Code. In the last part of his text, Clemente Pérez lamented that he had not been able to find the original statutes of the Fraternity, printed in 1820.
Disertación que respaldó la personalidad jurídica de la cofradía de la Hermandad de Dolores, escrita por Clemente Pérez Valdés el 10 de mayo de 1942. El autor fundamentó sus argumentos en base a los orígenes de la institución en la isla Juan Fernández, su desarrollo tras la Independencia de Chile, su activa participación en el Cabildo y su vínculo con el Arzobispado de Santiago. De este modo, concluyó que la institución podía recibir sin problemas los legados y la herencia que le había asignado doña Victoria Vicuña Hurtado en marzo del mismo año, pues no le afectaba la incapacidad del artículo 963 del Código Civil. En la ultima parte de su texto, Clemente Pérez se lamentaba de no haber podido encontrar los estatutos primitivos de la Hermandad, impresos en 1820.
