Meeting minutes for the Jaffna Council of the South India United Church for the years 1934-1936. Each year contains details on the delegates in attendance at meetings, members of the executive council, and annual budgets. Other concerns include the ordination of preachers, management of schools, publications of accounts, statistics, salaries, specific requests for transfers, church debts and loans, etc. The reports are written in Tamil, with short English summaries on the left-hand side of the page. The reports are signed by the chairman--Rev. J.C. Welsh followed by John Bicknell--and secretary--Sabathy Kulendran--of the J.C., S.I.U.C. The file contains a pamphlet announcing the ordination of Mr. Sinnaithurai Thevathasan Aseervatham (preacher of Karainagar church) and Mr. Samuel Subramaniam Selvaratnam, (preacher of Navaly church), and copies of circular letters to be read at services. Signed at Manipay and Uduvil.
