(1) Two photographs of Fort Defence (1833 and 1834); (2) mss letter noting Sir Alexander Johnston's relationship with the king William 4th as part of the King's Council and the favor shown by the king to A.J. and his wife; (3) mss letters written by A.J. himself in 1833, related to his family and his work as Chief Justice of Ceylon. Most of the correspondance seems to relate to the issue of trial by jury on the island; (4) 1836 letter from someone named Melbourne regarding A.J.'s request for a Baronet, and other letters from A.J. about the baronet; (5) certificate of swearing-in of royal privy council members; (6) letter related to Tamkam house in Madurai, over which A.J. made a legal claim; (7) "The Petition of Lord William Campbell Governor of Your MA.J.esty's Province of Nova Scotia".
