(1) 1838 letter written by Sir Alexander Johnston; (2) "Account of Lord William Campbell taken from the Biographia Navalis; or, Impartial memoirs of the lives & characters of officers of the Navy of Gt Britain from the year 1660 to the present time, by John Charnock, Vol. VI., 3pp mss; (3) 1814 and 1815 letter addressed to Sir Alexander Johnston, written in the same hand; (4) "Note Re Ralph Izard," signed Louis Campbell-Johnston, including handwritten family tree; (5) 1817 letter written in Galle, Ceylon, from A.J. to Messers Drummond & Charing Cross in London; (6) newspaper clipping from Boston about the search for the Montrose heart relic; (7) 1833 receipt for A.J. titled "Tanjore Debt".
