A poem on planetary astronomy compiled by Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Ḥājj Jābir al-Ghiyāthī al-Tāzī (جابر بن عبد الله بن الحاج جابر الغياثي التازي, ca 16th century, see f. 94v, lines 14-16).
The text is followed by the beginning of another poem on the Arab and ʿAjam (lunar and solar) calendars, attributed to the same author (وله ايضًا وقفه الله في معرفة الأمر وما جهل من الشهور العربية والعجمية, f. 100v, lines 9-22). The first line of this section is accompanied by a marginal note written by the scribe who names himself asʿUbayd Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad al-Ṣakhrī (عبيد محمد بن أحمد الصخري, f. 100v, fore edge margin).

قال الفقيه الأجل القاضي الأعدل
جابر بن عبد الله بن الحاج جابر الغياثي
الأصل التازي الدار تاب الله عليه وغفر له
الحمد الله البديع الصانع الواحد الرب الحكيم الواسع

نحمد ربنا الموفق الكريم المنعم المحسن ذي الفضل العظيم
ثم صلاته على النور المبين محمد خير الورى الهادي الأمين
ثم الرضي عن صحبه والخلفاء نصرته وحر به ومن قفى
كفل بحمد الله وحسن عونه وتوفيقه
الجميل وبمنه والصلاة التامة الطيبة
المباركة على سيدنا ومولانا محمد وعلى
آله وصحبه وسلم تسليمًا كثيرًا أثيرًا إلى يوم
