A commentary by Aḥmad ibn Aḥmad ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥaqq al-Sanbāṭī (أحمد بن أحمد بن عبد الحق السنباطي, fl. 16th century) on the Treatise on the Use of the Sine Quadrant (الرسالة في العمل بالربع المجيب) in twenty chapters (باب) by Badr al-Dīn Abū ‘Abd Allāh Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad al-Shāfi‘ī al-Miṣrī al-Dimashqī (بدر الدين أبو عبد الله محمد بن محمد بن أحمد الشافعي المصري الدمشقي, b. 1423, d. 1490), known as Sibṭ al-Māridīnī (سبط المارديني), timekeeper (موقّت) of the al-Azhar Mosque at Cairo.
Another copy of this text is found on ff. 4v-17r of the present volume. F. 135 is a replacement. The text is preceded by a page of notes (f. 123r).
