The material is a palm-leaf manuscript from Jaffna, Sri Lanka. It is written in verse using Tamil font of the 19th/20th century. It contains medical information and terminology of the Ayurvedic tradition. The actual text could be of older provenance, however, as the exact date could not be determined. Agathiyar Sidda is noted as the author of the work, however, this is a common authorship name claimed by various authors.
