This material is a palm-leaf manuscript from Kondavil, Sri Lanka. It is a Tamil verse and mathematical work written in 18/19th century Tamil script. It is a copy of the well-known Tamil mathematical work Kanakkathigaram. It includes notes on chemistry. The original is estimated to be written in 16th century in Jaffna, Sri Lanka by Kari Nayanar. However, it should be noted that various mathematical works in Tamil are known by the common name Kanakkathigaram.
