This palm-leaf manuscript contains two different works from Nallur, Sri Lanka. The shape and the handwriting of the two works are considerably different. However, they are both written in Tamil prose and could be dated to the late 18th or 19th century. The first work illustrates a Hindu mythological story of god Siva and his journey from Kailai in the north to a temple in the south. The second work details a temple in the south. An intertextual analysis between the two works implies identical context and topical matter, that of a temple in the south and the mythological journey of god Siva towards it.
Extent and format of original material: Palm-leaf manuscript, 266 leaves.
