This manuscript is a handwritten copy of the original written by Ibn Baabu Al-alawi. It is a poem in praise of Shaykh Ahmad al-Tijān. The manuscript was acquired by Muhammad al-Amin Ba in the year 1929 who passed it on to his son Muhammad Al-ghāli Ba (d.1991). Specifically, it touches on the status and talents of Al-Hajj Umar Tāl. The poem begins with giving thanks to Allah and asking God to bless prophet Muhammad (SAW) then it praises the qualities of Shaykh Ahmad al-Tijan. The poem also explains the benefits of being a member of the Tijāniya Path.
Ce manuscrit est une copie d'un texte l'original écrit par Ibn Baabu al-Alawi. C'est un poème à la gloire de Cheikh Ahmad al-Tijān. Le manuscrit a été acquis par Muhammad Al-Amin Ba en 1929, qui l'a transmis à son fils, Muhammad Al-ghāli Ba (d.1990). Plus précisément, il aborde le statut et les talents d'Al-Hajj Umar Tāl. Le poème commence par rendre grâce à Allah et à demander à Dieu de bénir le prophète Muhammad (SAW), puis il loue les qualités de Shaykh Ahmad al-Tijan. Le poème explique également les avantages d'être membre du Sentier Tijāniya.

Size and dimensions of original material: Height 20cm, width 15cm, depth 0,5cm.
Condition of original material: The manuscript was dusty before digitization. It is legible, black ink is fading, paper is turning yellowish with age. It also contains yellow patches probably from insects. Some pages of the manuscript have faded.
