The manuscript contains writings by Muhammad al-Ghali. It has four qasida poems and 2 speeches written in Nouakcott, Mauritania. The first qasida reflects on the acquisition of independence in Mauritania, which the author portrays as a liberation era for Mauritanian people. The second qasida talks about happiness. The third qasida is a praise song to the author's shaykh, Thierno Mountaga Taal. It provides pieces of advice to the youth, what the youth ought to do in modern times. Fifth is a marsiyya, a prayer poem to the dead, composed for Muhammadu Lamin Bousso, one of the author's companions who had died in an accident in Nigeria. The sixth is a speech about the unity of Muslims.

La première qasida évoque l'acquisition de l'indépendance en Mauritanie, que l'auteur décrit comme une ère de libération pour le peuple mauritanien. La deuxième qasida parle de bonheur. La troisième qasida est une chanson de louange au cheikh de l'auteur, Thierno Mountaga Taal. Il fournit des conseils aux jeunes sur ce que les jeunes devraient faire dans les temps modernes. Le cinquième est un marsiyya, un poème de prière aux morts, composé pour Muhammadu Lamin Bousso, l'un des compagnons de l'auteur décédé dans un accident au Nigéria. Size and dimensions of original material: Height 24cm, width 20cm, depth 0.5cm.
Condition of original material: The manuscript was dusty before digitization, clearly legible, blue ink with color fading on yellowish paper.
Custodial history: Muhammad al Ghali Ba composed and preserved this manuscript ion his private library in pate Galo. Upon his death in 1991, his brothers inherited the library. In 2014, his son Muntaga Ba became the guardian of the content of his entire library.
