This manuscript is a set of biographies detailing the lives of famous Islamic guides in the Futa Toro region. The first section covers the biography of Al Hajj Mu'aj of the village of Marda, in northern Senegal. The second section outlines the life achievements Ibn Ibādī. The texts outline information about the patrons' birth, education, Islamic training, and life acchievements of the eponymous figure. Both biographies incorporate excerpts of poetry originally authored by the patrons.
Ce manuscrit est un ensemble de biographies détaillant la vie de célèbres guides islamiques dans la région de Futa Toro. La première section couvre la biographie d'Al Hajj Mu'aj du village de Marda, au nord du Sénégal. La deuxième section décrit les réalisations de la vie Ibn Ibādī. Les textes donnent des informations sur la naissance, l'éducation, la formation islamique et les réalisations de la figure éponyme des mécènes. Les deux biographies incorporent des extraits de poésie rédigés à l'origine par les mécènes.
