Handwritten book containing information on the admission and/or re-admission of patients to the Lima Insane Asylum during the years 1888 to 1899. The dates of admission, personal data such as age, occupation, race, place of birth, marital status and date of death are recorded. The names of the diagnoses of each patient are also recorded, such as: Vesanic Dementia, Homicidal Monomania, Lipemania, Mental Derangement, Ambitious Monomania, Acute Mania, Organic Dementia, Idiotism, Periodic Mania, Insanity, Incipient Dementia, Epilepsy, Acute Delirium, Periodic Insanity, Systematic Insanity, Chronic Mania, Acute Melancholia, Neurotic Insanity (Hysteria), Religious Monomania, Alcoholic Delirium, Systematic Insanity, Melancholia, Syphilitic Madness, Toxic Madness (syphilis), Epileptic Madness, Onanism, Persecution Monomania, Organic Dementia, Imbecility, Dipsomania, Acute Mania, Opium Abuse Madness, Reasoning Madness, Delirium Tremens, Puerperal Madness, Manic Excitement, Nymphomania, Imbecility due to Opium Abuse, Senile Madness, Psychopathy, Spiritualist Madness, Mania with Hallucinations. Annotations are recorded outside the period indicated by the book's paste, finding information on patients who died in 1917. The institutions from which they were referred are recorded and the following are found: San Bartolomé Hospital, Dos de Mayo Hospital, Callao Hospital, the Charity of Lima, the Police, the Hospice of Santa Ana Hospital, the Orphans of Recoleta, the Intendancy of Callao and the Charity of Callao; other cases were referred by the patients' own relatives.
Libro manuscrito que contiene información sobre los ingreso y/o reingreso de los pacientes al Manicomio de Lima durante los años de 1888 a 1899. Se anota las fechas de ingreso, datos personales como edad, oficio, raza, lugar de nacimiento, estado civil y la fecha de defunción. Se registra las instituciones de donde fueron derivados encontrandose las siguientes: Hospital San Bartolomé, el Hospital Dos de Mayo, el Hospital del Callao, la Beneficencia de Lima, Policía, el Hospicio del Hospital de Santa Ana, Huérfanos de la Recoleta, la Intendencia del Callao y la Beneficencia del Callao; otros casos eran derivados por los propios familiares de los pacientes.
