Typescript of D. M. Thomas's novel 'Ararat' (1983) with autograph corrections. Originally contained in an envelope with the branding of Victor Gollancz Ltd.
The original numbering of the leaves, beginning at 4 and running to 120, suggests that three folios at the beginning of this document have been lost.
This file was originally contained in a folder entitled 'Birthstone by D. M. Thomas' (handwritten on label marked 'from Victor Gollancz Ltd'). Other labels on the folder read 'Don't throw away', '277 44' and 'Channell'.
