Research material for D. M. Thomas's biography 'Alexander Solzhenitsyn: a century in his life' handwritten notes and synopses of interviews, press cuttings, etc., mainly those compiled, written up and sent to him by his research assistants. The second of three parts. Includes some correspondence with research assistants and typescript draft material. With a copy of the Eagle Times (Twin State Valley, Vermont, United States) of the 13 December 1994, two photographic prints, and a letter from D. M. Thomas to Robert Weil of St. Martin's Press, New York, in which he accepts the commission for the biography and sets out his reasons for wanting to write it.
