The manuscript details that in the 1770s, Colonel Cayetano Paxuelo drove the people of Pamparomas off of their land. The people were left with small plots and worked as laborers in the nearby hacienda of Pampas. The village lands were transferred to the hacienda of Santa Catalina, owned by the Dominicans since 1714.
Extent: 1 set of loose sheets, typescript 18 folios.
Size and dimensions of original material: Height 33.5 cm, width 22 cm, depth 5.5cm.
Condition of original material: folios loose leaves of typescript black and red,badly stained and discoulered by water, margins are torn and fragile with losses, some of the pages have holes, 4 folios handwritten pages boundbadly stained and discoulered by water, 2 folios ,badly stained and discoulered by water, margins are torn and fragile with losses.
Arrangement: The document is written in various different hands and writtent by members of the community of Pamparomas, it copies out earlier material and was created over a period of c. 30 years.
Author(s)/Creator(s): Includes lists all the men from Pamparomas who are tributary indians, July 28, 1798 and gives breakdown of the population of Pamparomas.
