Quitclaim by Matilda, daughter of John son of Robert of Rainburgh, to Thomas Clarel, Peter of Ousedale and Robert Clarel, of all her right in a messuage and a bovate of land in Adwick [either Adwick le Street or Adwick upon Dearne, Yorkshire], which John Walgrym had by the gift of her mother Matilda; given at York, the day after St John the Baptist [30 August] 1338.
Endorsed: in a 14th-century hand, ‘Addewyk'; in an 18th-century hand, ‘Com / Addewyk’.
Affixed with an imperfect seal, red, two crescents above a bend and one crescent below, with the fragmentary legend, ‘sigilli de mate…’
