There are 1100 photos of different and very unique plant species which were captured in the wilderness by early botanists and explorers. The photos of plant species have corresponding herbarium specimen. In some cases they have collection number, a brief description, collectors’ name and date of collection. Plant photos have been used by various researchers and in some cases they are the only available evidence we have at EA to show that a particular plant species once existed in a region.
