A fragmentary copy of part 4, of treatise 29, from the 30-volume medical encyclopaedia Kitāb al-Taṣrīf li-man ʿajiza ʿan al-taʿlīf (كتاب التصريف لمن عجز عن التأليف), by Abū al-Qāsim Khalaf ibn ʿAbbās al-Zahrāwī al-Andalusī (أبو القاسم خلف بن عباس الزهراوي الأندلسي, latinised as Albucasis, d. ca 1013).
The treatise discusses the maturation, usable period, and expiry of simple and compound drugs, the collection of ingredients, and the preparation and storage of medications.
Begins (f. 243v, lines 1-4):

اعلم أن الأدوية ثلثة أجناس معدنية وحيوانية ونباتية فالمعدنية
