An early sixteenth-century didactic poem being an adaptation of the Hatthipāla jataka (jātaka no. 509). Also known as the Hatthipāla pyuiʹ. Considered one of the classics of Burmese poetry. From the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries it has been one of the texts studied by lay students and novices and was frequently referenced in didactic literature.
Extent and format of original material: Contains 1 fascicle of 53 inscribed folios.
Physical characteristics: Incomplete, a fragment of f. kha missing, folio koʻ broken into two pieces, folio kaṃ broken into three pieces.
