Sutta pāṭikavagga pāli nissaya
- Scope & Content:
-
Bilingual translation of the canonical text of Sutta pāṭikavagga, the third division of the Dīgha Nikāya collection. This nissaya by Guṇavaṭaṃsaka from Ṅa sa rokʻ Sacʻ Ññui was completed on April 14, 1705. The present work appears different from another version of Sutta pāṭikavagga pāli nissaya that is credited to presumably another Guṇavaṭaṃsaka believed to have lived in Pagan (which is just a few miles away from Ṅa sa rokʻ). This latter Guṇavaṭaṃsaka is assumed to have produced the nissayas for the entire canonical Dīgha Nikāya and its commentary, while no other works by Guṇavaṭaṃsaka from Ṅa sa rokʻ are currently known.
