- Seven appointment diaries belonging to Meriel Forbes-Robertson; three for 1940, and one for each of 1941, 1944, 1945, and 1946.
The earlier volumes contain short notes on Muriel's daily activities, mostly relating to Ralph and their relationship, but the later volumes, 1944 onwards, were mostly used just to record appointments. Throughout the diaries, Ralph is usually indicated by the initial 'R'.
Two of the diaries for 1940 mostly consist of lists, while the third gives details of Meriel's life including discussions with Ralph about his marriage to 'Kit', his first wife. The diary for 1941 was produced by the Royal Air Force and includes a variety of useful printed guidance on subjects like military ranks, first aid and aircraft silhouettes.
