- (h). 'For M.Phil meeting Thurs 2 Feb 89'. Typed lecture notes (4 pp.), beginning: 'I want to start in 1945 […] has [music] changed and developed as much since 1945 to the present day, as it did between 1900 and 1945?'

Four short talks for radio, numbered I-IV, on the subject of programme notes: 'Hugh Wood Reflects on the Programme Notes of Times Past'; 'Hugh Wood Offers a Programme Note for Today'; 'Hugh Wood Comes to Musical Terms'; 'Music and Sweet Poetry'. The talks are in draft form and are undated, but unrelated matter on the verso of one of the pages provides the (not before) date January 1989. Extent: 10 sheets in total.
