Text on the making and use of talismans said to have been taken from Hermes (هرمس) and recorded by Aristotle (أرسطاطاليس, d. 322 BC) for his pupil Alexander the Great (الإسكندر, d. 323 BC).

من كتاب الإصطماطيس الذي وضعه هرمس في
علل الروحانيات والمقسوم من الأقاليم السبعة وكيفيتها
وأعمالها وجواهرها وهو الكتاب الذي فسر فيه أرسطاطاليس
الحكيم علل الروحانيات وكيفية أعمالها وجواهرها
واختلافها في الأقاليم السبعة على النجوم السبعة قال
سأل الإسكندر الملك أرسطاطاليس الحكيم عند إنقضاء
كتاب الإصطماخيس الذي فسره له المسيرة إلى أرض فارس

وقال أيضًا إن هذه الأرواح الروحانية هي تحت كل واحد
منها في إقليمها التي فيه سلطانها وانبساط تدبيرها في حركاتها
