The Nature of the Prophet

The manuscript entitled Lontar Sipat Nabi has 12 rows per page with black ink. Although the title is Lontar Sipat Nabi, but it does not have any relationship with the Prophet nature. The text covers a short story of Prophet Muhammad, The Prophets’ Age, Rukun Islam (5 Pillars of Islam), The Nature of Allah etc. All of the texts take form of tembang, verse forms in Javanese Literature to which a reader applies one of known tunes. There is no colophon, but when the owner got this manuscript from his ancestors for 3 generations probably this manuscript was made in the last 19 Century.
Extent: 1 laid paper manuscript.
Size and dimensions of original material: Height: 22 cm., Width: 17,5 cm.
Condition of original material: The papers have aged brown and there were dirty patches of some parts, but the manuscript text is quite good, complete and readable.
