Rabindranath Tagore FRAS, 1861-1941, also written Ravīndranātha Ṭhākura, sobriquet Gurudev, was a Bengali polymath who reshaped Bengali literature and music, as well as Indian art with Contextual Modernism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Gitanjali is a collection of poems by the Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore. Tagore received the Nobel Prize for Literature, largely for the book. And is part of the Collection from the UNESCO of Representative Works. History[edit]. The original Bengali collection of 103/157 poems was published on August 14, 1910 an Urdu translation.
