This material is a Tamil palm-leaf manuscript from the Eastern region, Sri Lanka. This manuscript has songs on Mārkkaṇṭēya. Mārkkaṇṭēya is one of the Nāyaṉmār of eighteen. The manuscript has 158 pages. The pages are in a deteriorated state. However, the letters are clear to read. The original manuscript was written by Nākaṇṭāppōṭi son of Paṇikkappōṭi, on 01th April 1856. The manuscript is copied by kā. Veḷḷaiyaṉ on 23th August 1956. The pages are in order and numbered. The protective cover is made up of taek.
