This material is a Tamil palm-leaf manuscript from Point- pedro, Northern Province, Sri Lanka. It is estimated to be from the period between 1801- 1899. This palm leaf manuscript is about different aspects of medicial practices. It consists of descriptions of conditions from in take of posion to phlegm related illness, illnesses related to the nervous system, digestive system etc. It consists of information on a range of drugs made from metallic components, calcified drugs, curative drugs made from herbs etc. It also consists of details of the medicinal practice including ritual greetings of the patient of the medical practitioner. The manuscripts are in good condition. The protective cover may be made by Margosa and it also has carpentry works on it.
