The book, titled "24[inch] Ephemeris", lists co-ordinates of fields to be photographed with the 24-inch Bruce Doublet telescope at Boyden. Many entries of these lists have plate numbers written after them. The first list is titled "Most Urgent NEBULAR FIELDS", and contains a sub-table called "Coma Virgo Extention". The second is titled "1931-1932 program NEBULAR FIELDS". On these pages, some entries are struck through or otherwise highlighted; several pages are wholly crossed out. Written on the left inner board: "Important Variable Fields at back". The book has been turned around and then written from the back. The last three pages are headed "24[inch] Bruce. / Important Variable Fields." and is dated 1934. They contain lists of targets to be photographed, along with basic instructions. There is a list of 12 Milky Way fields, and 5 in the Magellanic Clouds (4 in the LMC, 1 of the SMC).
