A small tan-coloured notebook containing a description of journeys around England. The journal provides concise descriptions of towns visited and walks taken.
This journal begins with the continuation of Burnaby's trip to Wales and Westmorland, finishing in Baggrave Hall on 15 Oct. This section starts from Frodsham on 4 Sep 1782 and describes visits to Liverpool, Warrington, Manchester, Halifax, Leeds, Ripon and Newby Hall.
The journal continues with a tour of Hastings and the surrounding area in 1783, starting on 9 Jun from Blackheath and returning to London on 17 Jun. Towns described include Hastings, Lewis, Arundel, Chichester, and Guildford.
The journal then proceeds with a tour of Maidstone, Canterbury and Dover in 1785, starting from on 18 May and returning to London on 23 May.
