This is a collection of Santali fables, folk knowledge, and folk tales. It contains stories about the creation of the world, the genesis of man, information about wedding customs, among others. This is the second edition published in 1984. The first edition was published in 1943.
Extent: Book consisting of 178 pages.
Size and dimensions of original material: Height 19.2cm, Width 13cm, Depth 0.7cm.
Condition of original material: Fragile, Exposed to moisture, foxing, spine damaged, acidic pages, reverse impression, messy printing, yellowing of pages, fluid reaction, fungus, dot pen writing, ink spread, spots, text lost due to stitched binding, alignment of pages improper.
