Large scrapbook with blue cover and red spine containing press cuttings and programmes recording the early career of Ralph Richardson, including radio plays he recorded. The cuttings also focus on the work of his wife Muriel Hewitt.
This volume was probably compiled by Ralph himself.
The contents include:
- a special issue of The Play Pictorial No. 299 Vol. L (1926) with pictures of the cast performing Yellow Sands
- articles on the re-opening of Sadler's Wells in Jan 1931
- programmes and reviews for plays performed at the Malvern Festival in 1931
- a programme for the Gerald Du Maurier Memorial Fund Matinee on 22 Nov 1934
- a cheque from Ralph Richardson for £5 for the Savile Club
Enclosed within this volume is a copy of the Evening Standard from 10 Dec 1936 reporting the abdication of Edward VII.
