This is a diary containing notes and personal writings of Komal Kothari. The first few pages contain topics for essays to be written and a few contact details. Transcription of couplets (Doha) from various regions of Rajasthan, 'Dhani ra Doha' and 'Jala Bubun' in Mand tradition followed by notes on various types of Mand. A large part of the diary is dedicated to research on the Rajputana kingdoms and the internal politics and inter-relations among them. This section includes notes on regional biographical tales written on kings like Vir Vinod, Yashwant Rao Holkar, Amir Khan etc. followed by historical details of Rajputana kingdoms from 16th to 19th century and citations from various publications on the topic. The last few pages contain a list of people with their birthdays and more contact details.

Physical characteristics: Personal diary of 1951. Contains handwritten notes with blue, black and red ink, Diary has lost its Front and back cover. Binding is losse and detached, with pages being separated. Diary has lost much of its pages. Remaining pages have turned yellow. First few pages have holes, mold stains, etc. Its edges has been crumpled, corners have dog ears. Pages after June are missing.
