This work Vinayaka puranam explains avathara details of Lord Ganesa. This purana was told by Brahma to others. This work has been written by katshiyappa Muni in 250 parts with 12000 Stanzas. There is duplication of the leaf no 173.
விநாயகப் பெருமானின் வரலாற்றைக் கூறுவது விநாயக புராணம். விநாயகப் பெருமானைப் பற்றிப் பிரமனுக்குப் பரமசிவன் உபதேசிக்க, பிரமன் வியாச முனிவருக்கு உபதேசிக்க, வியாசர் பிருகு முனிவருக்கு உபதேசிக்க, பிருகு முனிவர் உபாசனா காண்டம், லீலா காண்டம் என்ற இரண்டு காண்டங்களில் 250 பிரிவுகள் அமைத்து 12000 சுலோகங்களில் வடமொழியில் பாடப்பெற்ற விநாயக புராணத்தைத் தமிழில் கச்சியப்ப முனிவர் பாடியுள்ளார். ஏட்டெண் 173 இருமுறை எழுதப்பெற்றுள்ளது.
