Disenchantments, descriptions of various customs, lyric songs, shouts at hora, descriptions of dances. Part are recorded from informants not in the original context of performance, part are recorded in their original context. The context of performance and the additional instruments are stated by the informants for some of the folkloric creations. Gathered in Cahul town, Vâlcova village, Manta village, Badicu village, Cahul district. Creations: 1. Cântice, 2. Cântă cucoşeii dimineaţa, 3. Discântec de strâns, 4. Discântec când te sparii de şerpe 5. Câteva obiceiuri pe care le fac femeile în casă de Anul Nou, 6. Alte obiceiuri din viaţa tinerilor, 7. Papaluda 8. Câteva strigături auzite la horă în satul Vâlcova.
Custodial history: The archival material in this notebook was gathered in the summer of 1946, may 1947 by a student of the State University of Chişinău, Cahul branch, in the first year of bachelor studies, working as intern for the Institute of Language and Literature. It was taken into custody by the Institute of Language and Literature of the Moldovan Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences / MSSR Academy of Sciences and had the same custodial history as the entire collection.
Extent and format of original material: 1 notebook of 6 files. Not typical format (16.5 cm x 19 cm).
