Scope & Content:

Petition for Special Leave to Appeal logged 10 Dec 1919, between 145 petitioners versus the King Emperor regarding a riot brought about by conflicts between muslim and hindu people in the villages of Katarpore, Kankal, Hardwar and Jwalapore. A number of people and animals were killed on the occasion. The petition was refused on 16 Dec 1919.
