- Handwritten sailing directions for the Port of Heaneu[?]. An address given at the Bethel Ship Grove[?], Bristol, by Captain Samuel Williams in July 1862. The address was printed and distributed by Mr. Simon Short. The signature 'S. [Samuel] Williams' and the date '1904' can be found on the last folio.
- Typescript poem 'The Sailor Boy's Farewell' by Captain Samuel Williams, undated.
- Typescript recollections of a voyage to India, Siam and Cape Colony in Aug 1869 by W. Alfred Williams. Williams was 9 years old at the time of the voyage. His father [Samuel Williams?] had been appointed to the command of the Speedwell vessel.
