- The merchants and traders in tea begin to suspect that Suqua hath a large demand for green tea, which therefore rises, and if Cuiqua, commonly called Beau Cuiqia, did not send up the country to secure the parcell he agreed with the French for before our arrivall wee think it will soon be at a great price, and wee are now thoroughly convinced that it would have been impossible to purchase one half of the quantity we have agreed with Suqua for if wee had not contracted at the time wee did, when he had an opportunity to send up a large sum into the grean tea country, which he took care to do so privately as not to give the least suspicion of his intended scheme.
