Correspondence regarding a proposed Anglo-Russian loan of £10,000 to meet the initial cost to the Turco-Persian Frontier Commission of erecting boundary pillars, to be ultimately recoverable from the Turkish and Persian Governments. Following discussion it is decided to make a payment to the Persian Government only. The loan would ultimately be rejected, and the money reimbursed to HMG UK and the Government of India.
The file consists of correspondence between the India Office Political Department, the Foreign Office, HM Minister in Tehran, the Treasury, and HM Consul at Constantinople.
