The volume comprises telegrams, despatches, memoranda, and printed correspondence, relating to leave and leave allowances for civil officers and subordinates who served with the Commission. The discussion in the volume relates to the decision of the Foreign Office to not admit liability for the cost of the Commission. Further discussion surrounds the granting of permission to two Indian surveyors to accept, but not to wear, medals awarded by the Persian Government in recognition of services with the Commission.
